You require to register for this service and it is available if you are under 16 years of age or in receipt of benefits. Please speak to your local pharmacist for further information.
You will be able to get advice and often free treatment from you community pharmacist for minor illnesses and ailments such as:
- acne
- athletes’ foot
- backache
- cold sores
- constipation
- cough
- diarrhoea
- earache
- eczema and allergies
- haemorrhoids (piles)
- hay fever
- headache
- head lice
- indigestion
- mouth ulcers
- nasal congestion
- pain
- period pain
- thrush
- sore throat
- threadworms
- warts and verrucae
If your pharmacist feels that it is better for you to be seen at the practice, then they may refer you directly or advise you to make an appointment with your GP or practice nurse.
